Abstract:
With the rapid development of the industrial Internet, the demand for real-time communication has increased significantly. Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) extends standard Ethernet to provide deterministic communication, meeting the stringent requirements of industrial applications. This paper reviews key TSN technologies and their underlying principles, and discusses the integration framework of TSN in industrial Internet systems. It further discusses critical challenges, including traffic scheduling, system latency and the integration of legacy industrial equipment into TSN-enabled networks. Typical applications of TSN in the industrial Internet are reviewed including real-time communication, network reliability, and industrial automation. Finally, future research directions and open challenges of TSN in the industrial Internet are discussed.
